all the choices

Hello friends! In case you’ve somehow missed it on IG – our house is complete! After a very long year of waiting and building through covid + supply chain issues, we finally reached the finish line.

I’ve been sharing several rooms on IG and there have been many questions referencing colors/stains/wood species etc so I thought it would be handy to write it all up so it’s static and y’all can always reference. If I miss something, just email me and I’ll get you an answer.

Interior Trim Wood Species: Alder

Kitchen Cabinets: Quarter-sawn White Oak

All Other Cabinets: Pine (painted)

Black Paint: SW Tricorn Black

White Paint: SW Pure White

Exterior Siding / Laundry Paint: Valspar Cowboy Suede

Upstairs Family Room: SW Jasper

Master Closet: SW Nomadic Desert

Wood Stain: Minwax Weathered Oak

Saltillo Tile: Rustico Tile

Luxury Vinyl Flooring: Shaw Floors 1019V Paragon 5″ Plus 690 Touch Pine

Choosing wood species, stains and paint colors is definitely not for the faint of heart. It can be so time consuming so be easy on yourself! I decided my color pallet before choosing colors just so I had a general idea of where to start. I actually based everything off an Urban Decay Old West makeup pallet. It was just the vibe I wanted in our home. Actually, before we even added furniture we had several contractors say they could tell we were going with a modern cowboys and Indians vibe and it made me giddy because it meant that my choices had came to life.

So much love to you!
